Suspicious email?
Fake Email
Phishing scams…!
I am doing this blog post today to get word out about internet “phishing” scams. “Phishing is the attempt to obtain sensitive information such as usernames, passwords, and credit card details (and, indirectly, money), often for malicious reasons, by disguising as a trustworthy entity in an electronic communication.”
I was recently sent an email from whom I thought at first read, was from Amazon. It was canceling an order that I didn’t remember placing. I read it over again because I do purchase items from them… But thought to myself, what was it and when did I place it? The email looks official. I didn’t recall ordering the product. So I hovered over the links and it revealed that it wasn’t from Amazon but from a Russian domain!! I didn’t click the link and you shouldn’t either.
When in doubt – DON’T CLICK!
